Tsunehisa SLD Washiji 165mm Nakiri

These knives feature a SLD steel core, a semi-stainless tool steel with great edge life and toughness. The stainless cladding has a unique combination of hammermarks (tsuchime) and a rustic pearskin finish (nashiji). Handled with a burnt one piece octagonal oak wood handle.

SLD is considered Semi-Stainless. It doesn't rust or patina as fast as most carbon steels, but it it isn't fully stainless either. We recommend caring for it as you would carbon steel, deliberately drying it after use. 

Boxed. Made in Japan.

**Dry thoroughly after use. Left wet semi-stainless steel can develop rust and pitting

**To avoid chipping, keep away from bones, frozen foods or other hard foods and pits.
