Sakai Takayuki 150mm Wa Petty - Aogami Super - Kurouchi
A 'petty' is a small utility knife and is a great addition to any set of knives. It is especially useful for cutting smaller foods, such as small fruits and vegetables, as well as hard cheeses and cured meats. They can also double as a small protein slicing knife.
Takayuki's Aogami Super series have killer edge life, and the cladding is stainless steel which really cuts down on reactivity, making it a great high performance knife with relatively low maintenance requirements. The knives are decorated with a hammer marked cladding (tsuchime) and have a blacksmith's finish (kurouchi), and are handled with an octagon shaped Zelkova wood handle with a Pakka wood ferrule.

**Extra care is required with carbon steel. No soaking or dishwashers! Dry well in between uses to avoid rust. Blade will develop a patina (discoloration) with normal use.
