Boye Knives

David Boye has been making knives since the early 1970's and in 1975 authored the book 'Step by Step Knifemaking: You Can Do It' which influenced generations of custom knife makers. He developed Boye Dendritic Cobalt, an alloy with micro crystalline structure that is ultra stainless and exceeds at cutting rope and line for long periods, the ultimate boat knife material. He is also known for the 'Boye Dent', a dent feature on lock-backs, which Spyderco has adopted and use in nearly all of their lock-back knives. He currently resides in Arizona, still making awesome folders and fixed blades.
