Nigara Hamono, based in Hirosaki, Aomori, has roots dating back 350 years, and continues their long legacy of fine craftsmanship. The company is currently headed by eighth generation blacksmith Go Yoshizawa, who specializes in highly refined damascus patterns and blade finishes. The knives have a workhorse feel, with precise grinds and clean fit and finish.
