In Dan's Words: "This is a drop point hunter model and my most recent design. The steel is 52100 which is a mild alloy steel that when heat treated correctly produces great edge holding and toughness. It is my favorite steel. This design has a slight ridge down the center of the handle. I find that it provides exceptional feel and grip and prevents the blade twisting in the hand when used with force. The handle is desert ironwood. The bolsters are stainless and the pins are domed adding a bit more strength. A high end epoxy for metal is used as well giving a mechanical and chemical strength to the bolsters. I almost kept this one for myself. So, it does not have a name right now other than "my knife."
