Helle Wabakimi Bushcraft Knife - Sleipner Tool Steel
The Wabakimi was designed in partnership with Canadian survival expert Les Stroud. It actually has only half the tang exposed, the finger side is all wood, making it more comfortable in extremely cold situations. Blade is securely attached to the handle with two rivets and includes a lanyard hole.
Sleipner is a high-alloy tool steel developed by Uddeholm that offers a good balance between toughness and edge retention. As such it fits well in a small knife that will see a lot of use for a variety of purposes. Extra care must be kept to keep the knife from developing rust.
