These dish cloths are ultra absorbant and soft, excellent for cleaning and drying dishes and general kitchen use. Kayagofukin is mosquito net style fabric carefully woven in the Nara prefecture, and then it is is embroidered and printed in the Wakayama prefecture of Japan.
When new, the cloths seems stiff, but after a rinse in hot water, they shrink quite a bit. They are remarkably durable and dry very quickly!

Highly recommend! After years of using Swedish dishcloths, I discovered these, and I’m obsessed. I have a little collection, but I’m still using my very first one (which I bought 4 months ago). It has held up amazingly well. It dries quickly, absorbs beautifully, and never holds onto odors. And it’s gorgeous! I don’t recommend machine washing it since the fabric is delicate. I soak it in a little vinegar occasionally. I love seeing it by the sink or hanging from the faucet in a triangle shape.
