The cloth's texture gives it scrubbing ability. The open weave allows it to dry quickly and stay more fresh. Totally washable. Bought one to give it a try. Back to buy more so I can replace all of my old dishcloths. Also, I LOVE this shop! Was in PT for a quick overnight and bought several Xmas presents here. All were unique, useful and big hits.
