This series is named 'Seiun' meaning nebula, or galaxy. The exquisite damascus cladding is etched with a unique technique bringing out the contrast in the layers.

They are forged by Satoshi Nakagawa, a master blacksmith that has a particular expertise in hand forging stainless steels. VG10 is commonly seen in factory made Japanese knives, but don't let that fool you with this series, this is one of the best treatments of VG10 you will find, with an excellent mixture of edge retention, toughness and ease of sharpening. They are sharpened in one of Sakai's most prestigious workshops, and have a workhorse feel, with excellent convex grinds, but still thin on the edge.
