Saya are traditional wooden sheaths made for Japanese style kitchen knives. They are the best way to transport and protect knives. They are fit with a pin that keeps the blade from sliding out, and the soft wood protects the edge from dulling and damage. Handmade in Portland, Maine, EDRO Made’s saya covers are made with expert workmanship and attention to detail.

Bought without a corresponding knife, they will ship UNDRILLED with the pin for you to fit at home. Use a 3/16 bit for a good pin fit.

Knife types and sizes vary from maker to maker and saya are designed to fit most Japanese knives without a bolster. These will not fit most Western knives with bolsters. We cannot guarantee they will fit your knife.**
