Hand forged by Tsukasa Tokaji in Tosa, a city on Shikoku island that has a deep history of forged tools and knives. These rustic handmade knives are a great starting point for anyone wanting to get into sharpening and maintaining their own knives on whetstones. They are forged with top quality Hitachi made Shirogami #1 (White Steel #1), which is a pure carbon steel with a high carbon content, making for an easy to sharpen knife that has great edge life too. They are fitted with octagon shaped oak wood handles.
