Excellent edge life on these blades. The Blue Super (Aogami Super) steel core has a high hardness, wear resistance and excellent edge life, and the stainless cladding makes it easy to care for. Blade has a Tsuchime (hammer marked) and Kurouchi (blacksmiths') finish. Handles are octagonal burnt oak wood. Each blade is hand engraved with the makers mark.

**Dry thoroughly after use. Left wet, carbon steel can rust, dull quickly and develop pits in the edge. Patina will form with normal use and care.
