These knives feature a SLD steel core, a semi-stainless tool steel with great edge life and toughness. The blades have a polished finish on the cladding, full tang and are handled with red pakka wood.
SLD is considered Semi-Stainless. It doesn't rust or patina as fast as most carbon steels, but it it isn't fully stainless either. We recommend caring for it as you would carbon steel, deliberately drying it after use.

**Dry thoroughly after use. Left wet semi-stainless steel can develop rust and pitting
**To avoid chipping, keep away from bones, frozen foods or other hard foods and pits.
