The Yuki series from Masakage features a shirogami #2 steel core which is very easy to sharpen. They are clad with stainless steel making them easy to care for! The handle is oval, made from magnolia wood and a red pakka wood ferrule. The blade is has a nashiji (pearskin) finish on the sides. They are forged by Yoshimi Kato in Echizen, Japan

**Extra care is required with carbon steel. No soaking or dishwashers! Dry well in between uses to avoid rust. Blade will develop a patina (discoloration) with normal use.

**To avoid chipping, keep away from bones, frozen foods or other hard foods and pits.
