Forged by Masahiro Fujita, relatively younger smith in the Tosa region of Japan. These rustic handmade knives are great for anyone wanting to get into sharpening and maintaining their own knives on whetstones. They are forged with top quality Hitachi made Shirogami #1 (White Steel #1), which is a pure carbon steel with a high carbon content, making for an easy to sharpen knife that has great edge life too.
