A rustic Spanish folder with a yatagan style blade. The blades on these are thin and easy to keep sharp, and can handle a variety of cutting tasks. The slip-joint keeps the blade firmly in place when in use, and has a half-stop, making it easy to open and close. We especially love this model as a folding picnic and cheese plate knife, or as a personal folding steak knife.
Bulk Packed. Made in Spain. We sharpen all Pallares knives before they leave the shop.
*Color of the handle may vary from knife to knife*
**Extra care is required with carbon steel. No soaking or dishwashers! Dry well in between uses to avoid rust. Blade will develop a patina (discoloration) with normal use.
Blade Material: Carbon steel
Mechanism: Slip-joint
Handle Material: Molded transparent plastic
Pallares is a third generation family run company in Solsona, Spain. Started in the early 20th century in what was then a center of knife-making, they are now the last of the traditional companies in Solsona still producing cutlery.

These Solsano folding knives are great. I have been a knife collector and trader for 40 years and at 70 I currently own about 400 knives. I live on a 25 acre rancho in USA and raise hair sheep and spanish goats. I own 4 of these knives and I carry and use them on a daily basis. They are thin and easy on the pocket but the steel takes and holds a great edge. They are a fine example of simplicity and function in a folding knife at a price that is unbeatable! I highly reccomend you try one. . . . . or 2 or 3. . . . .
Was never a knife carrying guy but I really like this design and might come in handy on a daily basis.
