Takamura SG2 Migaki 170mm Santoku
Takamura SG2 Migaki 170mm Santoku
Takamura's Migaki SG2 series have laser thin convex grinds, which give them some of the best cutting feel of any knives we know of. They are made with SG2 powder steel (also known as R2 steel), a stainless steel that is prized for its excellent edge life. They have a Western style wine red pakka wood handle.
Takamura knives are forged in Echizen, Japan and are well regarded worldwide amongst chefs and kitchen knife enthusiasts for their excellent cutting feel and value.
**Dry thoroughly after use. Left wet, stainless steel can dull quickly and develop pits in the edge.
**To avoid chipping, keep away from bones, frozen foods or other hard foods and pits.
